In this workshop you will learn how to make a hardcover notebook with an exposed stitched spine (coptic binding). After a very short essential introduction we will make the hardcover before starting to fold the single sections. In the beginning the sewing of multiple sections might be a bit struggling, so we will do it together step-by-step. After adding the covers, you can choose to take the book with you as it is, or to leave it with us, so we will glue the spine, giving more stability and a more „professional“ look. In this case you could pick up the book after a few days. It is also possible to do the glueing at home. With the learned skills you are able to create further books by yourself.

All materials are included in the costs as well as drinks and snacks.
Suitable for beginners, no prior skills are required.

Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to join the workshop you booked, feel free to give your place to somebody else. In case this is not possible, we offer to pick up a „material bag“, containing the materials we used in the workshop and a guide, so you can create the book(s) by yourself. Please not, that any bookbinding tools or glue are not included in the bag.
