EXCELLENT, CHEAP COFFEE FOR EARLYBIRDS
Already on the move quite early, intended or unintended, looking out for a good coffee? Then I highly recommend Mo`Joe (or simply mj). The cafe, centrally located on the corner of Gothersgade / Borgergade, offers coffee in all conceivable forms, plus orange juice, croissants, sandwiches, small breakfast plates, cakes, fruit salad and much more – in a good, fresh quality. The atmosphere is nice and casual with self-service, as usual in Copenhagen. The cafe is not too big, but there is still a seat and on warm days the terrace lures – unfortunately equipped with these annoying radiant heaters, but that is the only minus. Of course they also have a coffee to go, e.g. to enjoy in the nearby Kongens Have.
That sounds very nice, but also pretty normal? What makes this cafe so special that it deserves to be mentioned here?
The prices! Copenhagen is expensive, for a coffee you usually have to pay 40 DKK upwards, around 5 – 6 Euro. But Mo`Joe has a HAPPY MORNING HOUR. From 7:30 am to 10:00 am the coffee-flatrate is 19 DKK and it does not matter if it should be a simple but good Americano or a Latte Macchiato. A great offer which should not be rejected! Yes, a side dish, e.g. a croissant, costs more, and also a tea is not included in this offer, but if you are looking for a very good coffee, this is the right place. Note: arrive in good time – just before 10 clock the queue of people waiting for a coffee could be a bit longer.
For the sake of completeness – they have also a yummy lunch and good cocktails!
