A SPACE FOR EVERYTHING
WHY – For years on the wish list, an Uten.Silo from Vitra is decorating my apartment since a few months. And it’s even nicer and cooler than expected. Thanks to many boxes and shelves, it offers a space to all these things that usually lie around or will be forgotten in cupboard corners. A real design highlight and the perfect storage place for my paper and stationery collection. So far stacked on the shelf, all the notebooks, stickers, pens and pads are now visible and tangible. But the versatility is even bigger. The Uten.Silo can also be used in the kitchen or atelier, even in the bathroom. With Euro 349, – quite expensive, but thanks to excellent quality it guarantees a lifelong joy. Fair enough to make the investment worthwhile.
ABOUT – Designed by Dorothee Becker in 1969, the Uten.Silo stays in a tradition with the designs of Verner Panton and Eero Aarnio. Plastic was a cheap material at that time and made it possible to produce furniture, lighting and accessories affordable for the masses. In the beginning, Dorothee Becker, together with her former husband, the lighting designer Ingo Maurer, produced the Uten.Silo herself, before Vitra took over the production. Uten.Silo is injection molded from ABS plastic and available in two sizes: 67 x 87 cm and 52 x 68 cm.
